Our state-of-the-art technology allows clients to transmit documents to OneTouch via the Internet, eliminating the cost of printing documents in their office. Courts in California have a strong, standing interest in using electronic filing as a tool to improve customer service and make more efficient use of the courts resources. To help foster this interest and encourage implementation of electronic filing they have initiated rules regarding fax filing in California courts. Processing documents electronically is the way of the future.
The courts allow OneTouch to file electronically transmitted documents with a Facsimile signature.
Rule 2.303. Filing through fax filing agency
(a) Transmission of document for filing
A party may transmit a document by fax to a fax filing agency for filing with any trial court. The agency acts as the agent of the filing party and not as an agent of the court.
(b) Duties of fax filing agency
The fax filing agency that receives a document for filing must:
(1) Prepare the document so that it complies with the rules in division 2, chapter 1 of this title and any other requirements for filing with the court;
(2) physically transport the document to the court; and
(3) File the document with the court, paying any applicable filing fee.
(Subd (b) amended effective January 1, 2007.)
All documents that the court does not require an original signature can be faxed filed. For example:
Summons & complaints
Defaults
Writs
Petitions
Notice of Hearings
Dismissals
Case Managements
Abstracts
Proofs of service
Notice of settlements
Conditional Stipulated Settlement
Renewal of Judgment
Satisfaction of Judgment

A OneTouch customer service representative will assist you in creating your personal facsimile signature.
There is typically two ways to apply a facsimile signature to a legal document.
The first way is to have the facsimile signature font reside on the tool bar which can then be applied to the document prior to transferring to OneTouch.
The second way is to have the facsimile signature hard coded, residing on the master document template.
